Phantom Blade Zero Launch Trailer – PS5 Physical Editions Coming in 2027

S-GAME has released Phantom Blade Zero’s official launch trailer, bringing its Wulin setting, martial-arts combat and Kungfupunk style together ahead of the October 29 digital release.

The accompanying announcement also confirms a separate 2027 PS5 physical release, giving players who prefer boxed games three announced edition tiers to choose from.

Launch Trailer Highlights

The launch showcase brings the focus back to Soul, the warrior at the center of S-GAME’s story. Framed for his master’s murder and gravely wounded in the heart, he has 66 days to live. His journey through the Wulin follows the conspiracy behind that betrayal, with former comrades now among the people hunting him.

That premise gives the action its urgency. The setting combines traditional Wuxia storytelling with fantasy and folk horror: hidden paths, shifting realities and mysteries surrounding the people Soul meets. S-GAME’s overview emphasizes exploration alongside the confrontations, with secrets and mechanisms waiting away from the immediate fighting.

Combat remains the centerpiece. The studio confirms more than 30 primary weapons and more than 20 unique Phantom Edges, with powerful enemies providing weapons and signature techniques when defeated. Our combat and weapons overview explains the systems behind those categories.

The promotional pitch puts martial-arts technique and weapon variety together: dodging, deflecting, countering and chaining attacks are central to the fighting. S-GAME also emphasizes the motion capture and fight choreography behind the action, drawing on Chinese kung fu and the golden age of Hong Kong martial-arts cinema.

Its Kungfupunk identity extends that influence beyond the fights. Traditional Chinese imagery sits alongside machinery, mechanical prosthetics, industrial ruins and modern music. The trailer is an introduction to that world as much as a showcase for its enemies. PS5 Physical Editions Are Coming in 2027

S-GAME has confirmed PlayStation 5 physical editions for 2027, with three tiers:

• Standard
• Deluxe
• Ultimate

Earlier retailer listings created uncertainty around a physical release. The studio’s announcement settles the main question: PS5 physical editions are coming in 2027.

The Ultimate tier belongs to this announced physical lineup; the existing digital storefront lineup is Standard and Digital Deluxe.

Digital Launch Is Still October 29

The 2027 date applies to PS5 physical editions. Phantom Blade Zero still launches digitally on PS5 and PC on October 29, 2026, with the PC version available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
